Dynamic Content

Services

Content is the building block of any website, and ke takes dynamic content very seriously.
The core repository for dynamic generated content is structured in Links, Atoms and Details. In order to have a better understanding of the way the information is stored in these tables, it can be compared with a book.

  • Link Information is the cover of the book and defines the name and a short description, the color and chapter navigation for the book, the chapter sorting info, if the book is visible on the shelf, what is the level of security clearance to see the book, the date the book was published, and if the book is available.
  • Atom Information represents the chapters and sub chapters of the book and defines the name and a short description , the tree structure of chapters, what is the level of security clearance to see the chapter, the date the chapter was created, who wrote the chapter, if the chapter is feature for the parent chapter, if the chapter is visible from the table of contents, and if the chapter is available.
  • Details Information represents the content paragraphs within each chapter and defines what is the level of security clearance to see the paragraphs, the order of the paragraph within the chapter, type of the formatting to the content paragraph and if the paragraph is available.

The content can be found in quite a few places in ke. Very important to remember, is that the content goes together, Link, Atoms, Details. Who "owns" the Link, "owns" the content. For example, let's assume that a website needs two content pages for one user: a homepage and a who's who page. Each one will have distinct information and different layouts. As you'll see, a user will have a link created (PROFILE_INFO), and all we'll have to do is to create two Atoms: HOMEPAGE and WHOS_WHO.
